Injector Servicing

We appreciate that an injector service procedure is an important part of your diesel engines maintenance and in doing so we offer this 10-point procedure:

  1. Start engine and check for any abnormalities in engine noise. Vehicle is road tested prior to any repairs and any faults noted.
  2. Remove rocker cover, check and adjust if necessary valve clearances.
  3. Remove, inspect, test and refit glow plugs. Check glow plug continuity.
  4. Compression test engine.
  5. Check and adjust if necessary injection timing.
  6. Remove fuel filtration unit completely and inspect for any restrictions. Replace filter if necessary.
  7. Inspect and replace if necessary fuel supply lines. These are checked for shredding and internal blockages.
  8. Remove, clean, Inspect, test, recondition and refit injectors.
  9. Air cleaner element is removed and inspected. Condition reported on and replaced if necessary.
  10. Any engine abnormalities are reported on, Eg: Worn fan belts, engine oil leaks, loose bolts, broken studs, or any other condition that may be a safety issue.
