Injector Servicing
We appreciate that an injector service procedure is an important part of your diesel engines maintenance and in doing so we offer this 10-point procedure:
- Start engine and check for any abnormalities in engine noise. Vehicle is road tested prior to any repairs and any faults noted.
- Remove rocker cover, check and adjust if necessary valve clearances.
- Remove, inspect, test and refit glow plugs. Check glow plug continuity.
- Compression test engine.
- Check and adjust if necessary injection timing.
- Remove fuel filtration unit completely and inspect for any restrictions. Replace filter if necessary.
- Inspect and replace if necessary fuel supply lines. These are checked for shredding and internal blockages.
- Remove, clean, Inspect, test, recondition and refit injectors.
- Air cleaner element is removed and inspected. Condition reported on and replaced if necessary.
- Any engine abnormalities are reported on, Eg: Worn fan belts, engine oil leaks, loose bolts, broken studs, or any other condition that may be a safety issue.
